What is the best civ in AoE2 right now?
There is no single one. S tier in the pro tier list of October 2026: Chinese, Khitans, Khmer, Malay, Mayans, Mongols, Persians, Portuguese, Tupi, Vietnamese and Wei.
Which AoE2 civs are the weakest?
D tier in October 2026: Bengalis, Bohemians, Britons, Cumans, Goths, Saracens, Sicilians, Slavs, Spanish, Teutons and Turks. They still win games: a build you play well matters more than a tier.
Why are some civs not ranked?
Danes, Saxons and Varangians are not in the pro tier list of October 2026. You can still play them in MetaAOE, with a build for each.
Where do I get a build for my civ?

Which civ should a new player pick?
